What is Aluminium and why is it used?

Aluminium salts are ingredients commonly found in “Antiperspirants”, which are a category of product that modify the body’s natural physiological process of producing sweat. These aluminium compounds act to reduce sweat by physically blocking sweat pores.

There has been a number of studies that have raised questions about the safety of some of the aluminium based ingredients, but the research is mixed. Our view is that the scientific jury is out in terms of whether they are actually harmful in the quantities found in Antiperspirants.

However, why use questionable ingredients at all when you don’t have to!
