We set out to make No Pong the most effective and affordable deodorant humanly possible. Hundreds of thousands of our customers have given us awesome feedback, and as amazing as that is, we feel it’s important to take a scientific approach to developing and testing our products. That’s where clinical testing comes in.
Clinical Testing
At No Pong, we don’t just claim effectiveness – we back it up with clinical testing. Our 3 formulations have undergone five main tests. We’ll save you the mundane parts and share the interesting ones, but if you’d prefer to see the full details you can check them out here.
Sniff Test
One of our favourite tests was the “sniff test” which is exactly what you think it is, however this was performed by a lab. The sniff test was done at 12 hours, and again at the 24-hour mark, with excellent results! Therefore, we can confidently say No Pong is clinically shown to reduce body odour for up to 24 hours! Imagine the confidence of knowing you can breeze through your day without worrying about reapplying deodorant. That’s the power of No Pong!
Challenge Testing
Challenge Accepted! In this test, bacteria were introduced to our formulas to see if anything dared to grow. While some rely on artificial preservatives to pass this challenge, we take a different approach. Our ingredients create a naturally preserved product that does not need any artificial preservatives! We like to say – why use synthetic ingredients if you don’t need to?
Skin Sensitivity Testing
We didn’t stop there – we also put No Pong through 2 types of skin sensitivity tests, including patch testing on consenting adults and patch testing on a synthetic membrane that mimics real skin. All 3 formulas received a non-irritant result within that clinical environment, however, it’s important to note that clinical tests are done in a controlled environment, meaning exposure to external factors is reduced.
In the real world, we understand that everyone’s skin is unique and external factors (such as the soap you use, laundry detergent, health changes, tropical vs arid environments, spending time in hot tubs – there are so many factors!) can affect which No Pong will be best for you.
This is why we offer 3 formulations: Original Bicarb-Based, Bicarb-Free, and Low-Bicarb Vegan. We aim to create a pong-free world, so ensuring everybody has a No Pong option that is both effective and doesn’t irritate their skin, is extremely important to us.
